Fresh ideas about Fresh Air

Imagine yourself on the top of a mountain. Breathe in, breathe out. The smell of fresh air is mixed with the scent of flowers, woody trees, and purity. When I find myself in these environments I find that I sneeze less, feel better and hardly have headaches. Air quality shouldn't be so rare that we have to drive into the wilderness to appreciate the benefits.

In some places of the world air quality was actually causing severe lung damage. Twenty years ago, Kamal Meattle of New Dehli, India was told by his doctor that his lung capacity had decreased by 70%.  He was told that the air in New Dehli was killing him.

In those twenty years Meattle has created a building that purifies air and he does this primarily with plants. The results are truly refreshing!

The three main plants that purify air are already easily accessible in the united states as they are common houseplants.
To achieve mountain fresh air in your home, Meattle recommends that for every person 4 Palms, 6 Mother-in Law Tongue, and as many money plants as you see fit.

This photo was taken from Meattle's TED talk which can be found here: http://www.ted.com/talks/kamal_meattle_on_how_to_grow_your_own_fresh_air.html

Take Air Action and the results will be refreshing!

My husband and I will be growing our own air in the future with 6 palms, 12 tongues, and 6 money plants. For some ideas on interior plant design see the below images.
